Event Time: 6:00 / Event Location: Munsiyari, Uttarakhand
A 3-day event that had the cyclists’ adrenaline pumping and leaving them completely awestruck by the magnificent peaks in their full glory. The Magnificent Mountain Vistas, covering an approximate distance of 205kms, touching the heights of 9120 feet above sea level and striving through 14 merciless hairpin bends were the highlights of the Ride.
The Ride kick started from the launch pad, our very own Kosi Valley Retreat. Cycling for 103kms, the riders exhibited some steely resolve when they reached Chakori which was set at an altitude of 2010m with spectacular panoramic views of the snowy peaks of Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot and the Panchchuli group. Next day the riders pedalled for 64kms of craggy trails to Birthi Falls, a 126m colossal waterfall en route to Munsiyari. Day 3 was the epic trail of this event – 32kms ride with arduous uphill to Kalamuni top (2895m) and 16kms of steep downhills to Munsiyari with 14 unforgiving hairpin bends. The charm of Munsiyari is inexplicable as the place is endowed with exceptional Himalayan beauty.
